Gender, Diversity and Inclusion in CGIAR's Workplaces

We know that diversity in our workplace is important. It's the right thing to do. It's also the smart thing to do, because it brings many associated benefits. But we can sometimes struggle to clearly articulate the case for diversity. Recalling key data and arguments can sometimes be even harder.

This guide — the “Case for Diversity Guide” — asks (and answers) the questions “What is diversity and why does it matter?”

This GDI Guide gives you tools to communicate what many of us know instinctively: that having multiple viewpoints and a wider set of ideas tends to produce a more creative, innovative, and high-performing organization. It also contains a link to a new Diversity Workbook that managers can use to raise awareness, and begin important discussions.

Our next guide, coming in August, will be the “Inclusion Guide”, which will take a deeper look at the importance of inclusion in our workplaces. In addition to a range of resources, it will also contain a link to GDI’s first eLearning Course.
