INTRO
Welcome to this, our first GDI Guide! Following many months of co-creation by members of the CGIAR HR Community of Practice, and a robust cross-system consultation process, a Framework and Action Plan for Gender, Diversity and Inclusion (GDI) in CGIAR's Workplaces was approved by the System Management Board earlier this year.

A crucial role of the GDI function is to support knowledge sharing and build shared capacity, so over the coming months and years, we will be sharing guides, resources and news on a variety of relevant GDI subjects.
COVID-19 is currently impacted millions of people worldwide leading to many countries and 88% of organizations encouraging or requiring employees to work from home. This has presented unprecedented challenges for CGIAR, not just in terms of the practicalities and preparedness for remote working but also in terms of the impact on Staff health, wellbeing and productivity.
Research suggests that there will be additional challenges for specific groups within our workforce, such as working mothers, single parents and those who struggle with mental health.
In this, our first GDI Guide, we aim to equip People Leaders with evidence-based advice on how to support and guide their teams to work remotely, with a specific focus on at-risk groups.
